2024 ZGC Forum: Belt & Road and BRICS Industrial Internet and Intelligent Manufacturing Forum

2024 ZGC (Zhongguancun) Forum is China's state-level platform for global sci-tech innovation exchanges and cooperation. The 2024 ZGC Forum: Belt & Road and BRICS Industrial Internet and Intelligent Manufacturing Forum was held on June 5-7, 2024 in Beijing, China. It was co-hosted by China Chapter of BRICS Business Council, China Association of Inventions, International Society for Intelligent Manufacturing and International Alliance of Skills Development for Belt & Road and BRICS.

This forum was attended and addressed by several leaders of group or companies around the worlds, namely: Dr. Liu Zhenying (Chairperson of China Section of BRICS Business Council Skills Development, Applied Technology and Innovation Working Group, President of International Alliance of Skills Development), Ms. Alina Doskanova (Chairperson of the Russia Section of BRICS Council Skills Development, Applied Technology and Innovation Working Group), Mr. Frederico Lamego Soares (Chairperson of Brazil Section of BRICS Business Council Skills Development, Applied Technology and Innovation Working Group), Ms. Mapule Ncanywa (The president of the Russia Section of BRICS Business Council Skills Development, Applied Technology and Innovation Working Group), Mr. Manoj Belgaonkar (General Manager of Quality Management, Siemens Ltd.), Mr. Yu Huarong (Secretary of the Party Committee, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of China Association of Inventions), etc.

Six keynote speeches were delivered by: Prof Seeram Ramakrishna (Foreign Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, National Academy of Engineering (USA) and Academician of Royal Academy of Engineering) on "Emerging Industrial Revolution: Symbiosis of Industry 4.0 and Circular Economy", Prof Zhang Qin (Member of Standing Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Vice Chairman of International Nuclear Energy Academy, Fellow of China Association for Artificial Intelligence) on "Application of Dynamic Uncertainty Causal Diagram in Industrial System Fault Diagnosis", Prof Ning Zhenbo (Former Chief Consultant, Center for Information Technology of Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd.) on "The Essence of Intelligent Manufacturing", Prof Liu Zhenying (Chairperson of China Section of BRICS Business Council Skills Development, Applied Technology and Innovation Working Group, President of International Alliance of Skills Development) on "BRICS+Deliverable helps Chinese Enterprises and Vocational Education Go Global", Prof Li Shuangshou (Director of Fundamental Industry Training Center of Tsinghua University) on "Cultivate New-Quality Productivity, Reconstruct the Engineering Practice and Innovate the Teaching System", and Prof Zhou Wei (Professor of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and President of International Society for Intelligent Manufacturing) on "Standardization for Intelligent Manufacturing in the Age of the Industrial Internet".

In this Forum, two Fellow members of the International Society for Intelligent Manufacturing (ISfIM) were elected. They are Dr. Liu Zhenying and Prof Zhang Qin. They are elected in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the advancement of science, technology and applications of intelligent manufacturing. Prof Zhou Wei, president of the ISfIM presented the fellow certificates to Dr. Liu Zhenying and Prof Zhang Qin.
